John Ball: I am a volunteer Room Steward at the 16th century Astley Hall in Chorley, Lancashire and a Guide at Hoghton Tower, a 16th c. Fortified Manor House. I present talks on both houses and all donations are passed to the two charities, 'The Friends of Astley Hall' or "The Hoghton Tower Preservation Trust' to support their work in conserving these two magnificent buildings which are a major part of Lancashire's heritage.
